28 Jan 2018, Sunday – ARRIVAL IN IZMIR

Your local representative will meet you at Izmir Airport. Group transfer to the hotel, where you can meet your fellow travellers. Overnight.

29 Jan 2018, Monday – IZMIR to PAMUKKALE (B,D)

We will visit a premix development and production factory this morning. Our further route will take us to some locations of the Seven Churches of Revelation. We will visit Sardes, which has been magnificently restaurated and shows the glory of the ancient city. Although not much is left of the church of Philadelphia, we will see the remains passing through Alasehir. This region is at the same time one of the main areas for producing grapes and wine. We will see many large vinyards on our way. Finally, we will reach Pamukkale, a unique natural wonder (UNESCO site). Hot thermal springs cascading downhill have formed the unique travertine terraces resembling a frozen waterfall. We will also visit the ancient spa town of Hierapolis. Dinner and overnight in Karahayit.

30 Jan 2018, Tuesday – PAMUKKALE to KUSADASI (B,D)

Today, we will be driving through the fertile valley of the Maeandros river, where early civilizations and also Christianity have spread. The area exported many goods to all of the known world at these times such as cotton, figs, grapes, wine and olives. We will visit the Cotton Research Station and production plant for manure handling (bio-gas), dewatering, compost machines, centrifilters, tankers and spreaders.  Our next stop is to an experimental village that aims to spread the use of agro-technology, diminish the usage of water, to imrpove the quality of the soil by diminishing the use of chemicals, to be a technological and educational center and thus improve the output of all products by 20-30%.  We will then arrive to Kusadasi, one of the most re-known resorts on the Aegean Coast. Transfer to our hotel after a short city tour. Dinner and overnight.

31 Jan 2018, Wednesday – KUSADASI to IZMIR (B)

After breakfast we will visit a large dairy farm (Simmental and Holstein). It is one of the most modern facilities of the country. Continue to a provider and producer of milklines, shed layouts, milking machines, fences, gates, etc. This company is also offering technical and architectural support and herd management. Our final visit will be to a factory producing agricultural machines. Transfer to your hotel for the AGROEXPO trade fair in Izmir, end of tour.
